Back in December 2016, a Kickstarter was launched to create an OVA inspired by the Nekopara visual novel series. It was a massive success, as $963,376 was raised, and a tentative December 2017 release window was set. Now, an update has confirmed work on the OVA has been completed and the finalized design for the Nekopara OVA’s limited edition has been released.
Neko Works confirmed on Twitter that work on the anime was completed on November 19, 2017. More details on distribution will arrive in December 2018.
The $100 Kickstarter campaign reward, which was the Nekopara OVA limited edition, has received its final design. People who backed it at that level get the Blu-ray, a CD soundtrack, a 212-page A4-size art book, a film reel, and stickers in a special edition box. For those who backed the anime at a lower level, the OVA Blu-ray box will look the same for them too.
The Nekopara OVA should be released in December 2017. Nekopara Vol. 0 through Vol. 3 are available for PCs.
