Back in March 2016, a new platform was announced for Gang Beasts. The Boneloaf and Double Fine brawler was revealed to be in development for the PlayStation 4 with PlayStation VR compatibility. While the latest PlayStation Blog announcement does not mention PS VR, it does note the game will be released on December 12, 2017 and playable at the PlayStation Experience 2017 on December 9-10, 2017.

In Gang Beasts, players pick out characters, pop them into costumes, and head into brawls with one another. Up to four people can play can play everyone for themselves, on teams, or cooperatively. The goal is to be the last one standing, despite the best efforts of opponents. You can attack people, deal fall damage by throwing (or by falling yourself from heights), grab people to carry, drag, or toss them, or even cling to ledges and objects to try and save yourself. This happens across multiple stages. The complete PlayStation 4 version also has 2v2 soccer matches and a horde mode where four players fight to survive together.

Gang Beasts is currently available via Steam Early Access for PCs.
