Recommended Videos

Splatoon 2 is kicking off 2018 write with a new weapon. The Octobrush Nouveau is joining the roster on January 2, 2018. If you are in North America, the weapon is already available, while the European and Japanese versions of the game will get it at 2am GMT/11am JST.

The Octobrush Nouveau is a New Year’s tradition in Splatoon. The original weapon was added to Splatoon on January 1, 2016. It is released to coincide with the kakizome tradition, which is the first Japanese calligraphy written at the beginning of the new year. This can be either a kanji or occasionally a phrase or poem.

Splatoon 2’s Octobrush Nouveau has Squid Beacon as its sub weapon and Tenta Missiles as its special.
