Celeste now has a release date, thanks to the January 2018 Nintendo Direct Mini. It will be released on January 25, 2018. As a reminder, this is a platformer from Matt Makes Games, a developer previously known for TowerFall.

In Celeste, players help a young woman named Madeline climb Celeste Mountain. There are 600 levels spread across eight chapters, with B-Sides that are more difficult for each chapter. An Assist Mode will let people adjust the difficulty to slow down the pace or make Madeline invincible.

You can see the latest Celeste footage at the 11 minute 12 second mark of the Nintendo Direct Mini.

Celeste will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 25, 2018.
