Dragon Ball FighterZ releases soon and Bandai Namco had another surprise in this week’s Jump magazine with the reveal of its original character Android 21 as a playable character in the upcoming fighter. [Thanks, Shonen Games.]
The magazine shows Android 21 listed with the following stats:
- Power: B
- Speed: A
- Reach: S
- Technique: S
- Energy B
And an “A” rating for her ease to use. She is said to have numerous unique attacks, including the ability to absorb energy using her “Tasting Cut” dash-grab attack.
After absorbing their energy, she can even use attacks from the fighters she’s stolen energy from. For example, she’s shown using the Solar Flare ability after absorbing energy from Krillin. She’s also shown using an evil-looking Kamehameha.
Her Meteor Attack is called “Hungry Time” and it transforms enemies into sweets, just like Majin Buu’s. However, there might be more to it.
Dragon Ball FighterZ now has a total of 24 playable characters.
Dragon Ball FighterZ releases in North America and Europe on January 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game releases on February 1 in Japan. A second beta test will begin tomorrow. Read more on that in our previous report.
