We’re just about a month away from the release of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, and we got a look at how the game starts out with Roland arrives to help king Evan escape from a coup.
When Roland first appears in the world, Evan, the king of Ding Dong Dell, sees him as an intruder and calls the guards. However, we soon find out that a coup to overthrow the young king was already underway, as the stranger from another world ends up being the one to save Evan from the very same guards that once protected him.
The gameplay footage gives us a look at the first 15 minutes of how everything starts out, with Roland helping Evan escape the castle in order to make it out of Ding Dong Dell.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom releases on March 23, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
