Sega Teases New Sonic Racing Game

Recommended Videos

During Sega’s SXSW Sonic the Hedgehog panel, a new Sonic Racing game was teased. At the moment, only part of a logo has been shown. It appears to be a shield with wings, with the word “Racing” at the bottom. No details have been confirmed, other than Sega saying at the panel that this is not a sequel to any other racing game.

There are two details we can catch from the video. The first is that there are definitely cars involved, as we see part of a car before the obscured logo. The second is that the “R” in “Racing” uses the same font as Sonic R, the 1997 Sega Saturn and PC racing game.

The last Sonic the Hedgehog racing game was Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, PC and both Android and iOS devices.
