More Mages Games And Robotics;Notes May Come To The West [Update]

At Game Developers Conference 2018, Spike Chunsoft President and CEO Mitsutoshi Sakurai confirmed exclusively to Siliconera that the company may to bring Robotics;Notes to the West.

 

Robotics;Notes is the third main game in 5pb.’s Science Adventure visual novel series that started with Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate. It takes place in the year 2019, where the player assumes the role of Kaito Yashio, an avid fan of robot fighting games and a member of the school robot club that is in danger of closing down.

 

While Kaito has no interest in saving the club, he decides help out his childhood best friend and fellow club member Akiho Senomiya, and together they’ll work on building a giant robot in hopes of keeping club’s status.

 

Siliconera will have more from our interview with Mitsutoshi Sakurai later. In other news, we also learned that Steins;Gate Elite, which was recently leaked for the West via Amazon Canada, will use the same localization as the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions currently available.

 

Robotics;Notes is available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox 360 in Japan. Its release and platform(s) for the West was not shared.

 

Update: A representative from Spike Chunsoft contacted us with an update saying the company intends to bring multiple titles from Mages to the West, which may include Robotics;Notes. The article has been updated with this information.
