A Coleco Evolved Mini Arcades Kickstarter seeking to make miniature arcade machines that play Rainbow Brite: Journey to Rainbow Land and Robotech: The Macross Saga has been fully funded. It was seeking $30,000 by June 7, 2018 to make these small gaming devices, and has already passed $40,000 by 10AM CT on May 9, 2018.

The Rainbow Brite: Journey to Rainbow Land and Robotech: The Macross Saga Coleco Evolved Mini Arcades are based upon the 1981 mini arcade machines that played Donkey Kong, Frogger and Pac-Man. These new machines have the same shape and shell, but upgrade the inner workings to have a new chip set, improved buttons, full color, 2.75” LCD displays and rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries.

The Coleco Evolved Mini Arcades Kickstarter has one stretch goal. If $180,000 is collected, a surprise tier will unlock.

The least amount of money someone can spend to back this Coleco Evolved Mini Arcades Kickstarter and get one of the machines is $45, as there is an early bird tier. When that sells out, the cost will go up to $55. The expected retail price for the machines will be $69 each. An early bird two-pack is $85, with its price going up to $105 after it sells out. $200 limited edition models of both are available, which will not be sold at retail.

The Rainbow Brite: Journey to Rainbow Land and Robotech: The Macross Saga Coleco Evolved Mini Arcades are expected to ship in September 2018.
