A Touhou Project shoot’em up from Souvenir Circ., the makers of Croixleur Sigma, has made its debut outside of Japan. Unties Games has released Azure Reflections on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 4 owners in North America and Europe.
Azure Reflections is a side-scrolling shooter where players can use Reimu Hakurei, Marisa Kirisame and Cirno to fight other characters from the series. The Scarlet Mansion is shrouded in an unusual mist, and it is up to these three to investigate a new incident. You can fire bullets, use spell cards, body slam an opponent and put up a temporary barrier to protect from an opponent’s bullets. It is also possible to acquire and equip accessories that alter a character’s abilities and change their appearance.
Azure Reflections is available for the PlayStation 4. It is temporarily 30% off until May 29, 2018. It first appeared in Japan as Maihana Soumakyou: Uniting Barrage Action on the PC in 2012.
