Pocket Rumble’s Nintendo Switch Port Is Finished

Recommended Videos

There is some good news from Cardboard Robot Games and Chucklefish. People looking forward to the Nintendo Switch version of Neo Geo Pocket Color-inspired Pocket Rumble will see it soon. Development on the game has finished and it will be released on the North American and European eShop before the end of July 2018. (The game is also coming to Japan, but details on that region’s release are not yet available.)

In addition, there is good news for the 962 people who backed the Pocket Rumble Kickstarter. As an apology for delays, everyone will get a Nintendo Switch copy of the game, in addition to the PC version. To receive it, people need to contact [email protected] with their forwarded pledge confirmation and their region.

This means that development is shifting back to additional content for Pocket Fighter on the PC. (Problems with the Nintendo Switch version resulted in delays.) Incremental updates will come to the PC version in Early Access. Then, when all content is complete, the PC version will leave Early Access and the Nintendo Switch version will get a “substantial update.” All of these updates, which will include additional original bosses, crossover bosses and the Morgana character, will be free.

Pocket Rumble is immediately available for the PC.
