As part of its E3 2018 presentation, EA announced Unravel is getting a sequel. Unravel 2 will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Unravel 2 begins with Yarny having its string severed and losing its spark. However, it finds a second Yarny and the two come together to journey as a team. People can play alone or cooperatively with a friend, but you will always have two Yarnys at once, working together to solve puzzles throughout the game.
This announcement comes after a link. Ahead of the official reveal, the ESRB offered “Everyone” ratings for Unravel 2. The ESRB description for it is as follows.
“Rating Summary: This is a side-scrolling platformer in which players control a pair of fantastical creatures called Yarnys as they navigate environments. Players traverse platforms and avoid hazards by swinging from yarn lassos; some areas contain animals that chase/menace the player’s characters. The Yarnys are defeated when they are eaten by a fish, grabbed by birds, crushed by boulders, or run over by cars.”
Unravel 2 is immediately available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
