Jacob’s ailing wife seemed to be taking a turn for the better when she suddenly disappeared. Now, a mysterious woman offers Jacob a means of finding her, but it will take the man through a surreal realm filled with bloodthirsty monsters and grim puzzles in horror game Crying is not Enough.
Players will need to guide Jacob in his explorations of this strange realm and the unsettling sights within. They’ll also be in charge of keeping him safe with a variety of firearms as well, but limited ammo means players will want to try to find alternate ways of getting around the sickening beasts that mean to kill them. Otherwise, they may find themselves short on ammo when there’s no escape route.
As players explore, they will also uncover environmental puzzles that will reshape the world and allow Jacob to continue on his journey. Players should expect that journey to be a disorienting one, though, as his wife’s story slowly gives way to some creepy, disturbing events that tie into her car accident. These events will shape the environments, taking players to all manner of frightening locales in ways that make reality itself feel like it’s falling apart.
Crying is not Enough is available now on Steam. The PS4 and Xbox One version of the game will come later this year.
