Resident Evil 2 Remake Gets A Typewriter-Inspired Bluetooth Keyboard In Japan

Recommended Videos

Japan is getting something special for their Limited Edition for the Resident Evil 2 remake, being a collaboration with Qwerkytoys’ Qwerkywriter S mechanical keyboard. The product is modeled after the in-game typewriter used to save the game, and has a few extra features such as a return bar, a scroll knob, and a built-in tablet stand.

The extra product will come with the Limited Edition, but can also be bought by itself. The keyboard itself is charged via USB cable, and the extra keys can be used to simulate functions on Bluetooth devices. For example, the return bar can act like the Enter key, while the knob can be set to adjust volume, or to scroll the page.

Purchasing the Limited Edition on e-Capcom, Capcom’s online store, will additionally net buyers a roll of masking tape in a container shaped after the ink ribbons used to save at the typewriter. There is also a Premium Edition (costing 99,800 yen) that will also include the other physical content detailed previously for other regions.

The Lexington bluetooth keyboard for Resident Evil 2 Remake is set to come out on January 25, 2019, alongside the full game. You can find the pages on e-Capcom for the keyboard for Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 2: Z Version here and here respectively.
