Dragon Quest Builders 2 Has A New Farming Feature

Square Enix shared new details on Dragon Quest Builders 2 in this week’s issue of Jump magazine. We previously met Chako who is trying to build a farm,  but it looks like you’ll also get to take advantage of it when it becomes available.

You start out by putting a scarecrow in a suitable area with good soil, and once you do the people of the island will plow the field and get it ready for plants. In order to do that you’ll need to get seeds to plant.

After planting seeds, the folks will do the watering for you, then from there you simply wait for the crop to grow. However, keep in mind that there are times where monsters may attack, and it’ll be up to you to fight them.

The magazine also shows the Builder Bell and Builder Tools. You get the Builder Bell as a gift of gratitude from the inhabitants of the island. By ringing the bell you’ll get to make more items. Builder Tools include hammers and other items used for building. These are equipped separately from your weapons.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 releases in Japan on December 20, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Check our previous report to learn more about Chako, Bananzo, and Monzala Island.
