How To Recruit Simon Bale In Valkyria Chronicles 4

Recommended Videos

Not every character in Valkyria Chronicles 4 will automatically join your squad. Some of these people need to be unlocked. There are different triggers for different people, and Simon Bale is one of the easier people to unlock.

Simon Bale is a shocktrooper, which means he excels in dealing damage. In order to make him show up and join Squad E, you basically need to play Valkyria Chronicles 4. If you defeat 250 enemies, you will get the Bronze Medal of Honor. After it is awarded, Simon Bale will show up in headquarters. This feat should happen around chapter five or six, but could occur earlier if you go through a lot of Skirmishes or Squad Stories.

Valkyria Chronicles 4’s Simon Bale is basically a punk who is trying hard to be a bad boy. He arrives with four Potentials. Here is the list of what his starting Potentials are and how they help or hurt him in the field.

  • Bad with Women: Being near women triggers a constitutional nervousness so powerful it lowers accuracy.
  • Bully: He gets more aggressive toward weaker enemies, raising his attack.
  • Loose Cannon: His accuracy has a set chance of increasing.
  • Weak Constitution: Falling below half HP makes him lose confidence, lowering his evasion.
