Fans of the series can look forward to what Koei Tecmo is calling dramatically evolved racing scenes for Winning Post 9. Another noteworthy change is that the jockey and horse bonding elements have been changed to a command-based system.

The Fighting Spirit of the race horses will also vary based on the results of you matchups against rivals, who will also come with their own strategies.

As for the Rival Matches, you’ll have the likes of Mejiro McQueen vs. Tokai Teio where you’ll get to see scenes from the race and how your rival moves. The Fighting Spirit is also a new element.

Not only will rivals have unique horses, but they will also be unique characters. You’ll see everything from the racehorse owners, trainers, jockeys, and more from the opponent’s side that you’ll be clashing with.
