At the end of November 2018, Nintendo Switch and PC owners had a chance to get R-Type Dimensions EX for the first time. Now, the compilation containing both original and updated versions of R-Type and R-Type II are heading to the PlayStation 4. It will make its debut on Sony’s platform on December 19, 2018.

There will also be a temporary launch sale, but Tozai Games notes it is limited. If someone is a PlayStation Plus subscriber buying the European version of the game, then they will be able to take 20% off of the price for a limited time. That discount will be in effect from December 19, 2018 through January 1, 2019.

A new R-Type Dimensions EX trailer was released alongside the PlayStation 4 version’s release date announcement.
