An unexpected sort of release appeared on the Nintendo Switch eShop in North America and Europe. Akihabara CRASH! 123STAGE+1, which launched in November 2018 in Japan, made its debut. This Breakout style game is the first in the Block Crash series that included titles like Hello Kitty to Issho! Block Crash Z for the Nintendo 3DS and Hello Kitty to Issho! Block Crash 123!! for the PlayStation Portable.

In Akihabara CRASH! 123STAGE+1, people go through 123 different Breakout stages, busting through blocks to see the pictures of 29 cosplayers. Some blocks have certain gimmicks, like a bomb block that destroys the range or a gravity block that alters a ball’s path. (There is also optional DLC that lets people add unlimited uses of certain special abilities like “Big and Strong.”)

Akihabara CRASH! 123STAGE+1 is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch worldwide.
