We recently heard about The Legend of Heroes’ Trails series from Falcom getting a special collaboration with VR Game & Café Bar VREX in Japan. Here’s a first look with new screenshots, and it is wackier than expected. 
For those of you unfamiliar with VREX, it is basically a VR amusement center with a variety of arcade-style VR games and a café bar with various themed foods and beverages. 
The Trails series collaboration comes with its own menu of original collaboration foods and drinks. Of the twelve VR games available at VREX, nine of them can be played as the Trails characters. This collaboration event will be available at the Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Hiroshima VREX shops. 
The collaboration event is split into two halves. The first half runs from March 18 to April 7 , featuring Rean Schwarzer, Crow Armbrust, Alisa Reinford, and Altina Orion as the characters you can play as, however, the characters are selected at random. During the collaboration you’ll also get to pose and take commemorative photos while holding weapons and plushes as the characters. 
Having a pillow fight between Rean and Crow is just one of the many things you can do. 
In the “Kiseki Room” players can role play, pose, and more. It acts kind of like a lobby room before jumping into a VR game. Here’s a look at some of the menu items available during the collaboration: 
IC Card Stickers come included with any of the collaboration food or drinks. There are nine different card stickers plus one secret one that has yet to be shown: 
Here’s how much everything costs:
- Collaboration VR Game (+ Commemorative photo x 1, IC Card Sticker x 1) – 1,050 yen
- Collaboration Food (+ IC Sticker x 1) – 1,050 yen
- Collaboration Drink (+ IC Sticker x 1) – 1,050 yen
- Collaboration Food & Drink Set (+ IC Sticker x 2) – 1,750 yen
- Collaboration Full Set (VR Game + commemorative photo + collab food + collab drink + IC Sticker x 3) – 2,450 yen
Everything we’ve seen so far is only for the first half of the Trails collaboration event that runs from March 18 to April 7, 2019. The second half runs from April 8 to April 21, 2019, and its four characters have yet to be revealed. Any guesses on who they could be? 
The Trails series VR game will debut at VREX on March 19, 2019. In case you missed it, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel’s PS4 remaster is coming to North America on March 26, 2019.
