Tokyo 2020 Olympics’ Official Video Game Releases July 24 In Japan With 16 Different Events To Play

Sega announced that it will be releasing this official video game for the 2020 Summer Olympics for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on July 24, 2019. A new trailer showcases its 15 playable events and more.

 

The events include popular team sports like basketball, soccer, baseball, beach volleyball, along with tennis (singles & doubles), table tennis (single & doubles), boxing, and BMX. It also has some of the more traditional Olympic events including the hammer throw, the 100m dash, 110m hurdle, and long jump. For swimming, there’s the 100m freestyle and 200m individual medley.

 

As shown in the trailer, players will get to custom create their own avatars to play through all 16 events.

 

Tokyo 2020 The Official Video Game releases in Japan on July 24, 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for 4,990 yen. The game is expected to release worldwide.
