Umihara Kawase Fresh! Might Get Retro Stages In Updates If Fans Want It Enough

Recommended Videos

During a livestream today for Umihara Kawase Fresh!’s release this week, Studio Saizensen’s Toshinobu Kondou stated that he’d like to bring in retro stages from previous games in the series, although which ones are added will likely be decided by fans. [Thanks, naruki!]

Putting out a disclaimer immediately that this would be a while after launch, he elaborated on how Saizensen will be putting up a survey page on their website asking which maps from which game they liked throughout the series.

He also said that they’ll be arranged in order to fit with Umihara Kawase Fresh!’s physics, as the physics in each game is actually quite different.

Siliconera will keep updated on this in order to see if there will be any chance of English players lending an opinion as well on this topic.

Umihara Kawase Fresh! releases in Japan on the Nintendo Switch on April 25, 2019.
