Another more modern take on Wonder Boy game is heading to the Nintendo Switch, but this time it is the one that is a take on the Adventure Island adaptation of Wonder Boy. Wonder Boy Returns Remix, a new version of Wonder Boy Returns, will arrive on the eShop on May 23, 2019. The “remix” part of the name refers to the fact that there will be entirely new content present in this iteration.

There are two major additions in Wonder Boy Returns Remix. The first is that the 32 stages present have all been rearranged and supervised by Ryuichi Nishizawa, the original Wonder Boy creator. Also, a Charge Shot has been added that lets you charge up an attack to send out a larger than usual hammer.
