Dragon Ball FighterZ Celebrates “Goku Day” With A Special Goku Trailer

Recommended Videos

May 9 is Piccolo Day “Goku Day” in Japan, as the date can be read as Go- (as in the number 5 but also as part of “go gatsu” for May) and -Ku (another way to say 9). Dragon Ball FighterZ celebrates with a special Goku video and the release of the Goku (GT) DLC.

The video is actually super well-done with a clever edit that uses nothing but scenes with Goku from the game to chronicle his story and key opponent’s he’s gone up against.

On an unrelated note, it still irks me that the Japanese side still uses the “Son Gokou” spelling, but I’ll forgive them for using one of the best things to come out of Dragon Ball GT, the opening theme song “Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku” by Field of View.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, a nd PC. The Goku (GT) DLC arrives today, and you can check out more of his moves in our previous report.
