Here’s A Look At Lightsaber And Force Action Gameplay In Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

During EA Play 2019, the company showed off the first in-depth look at gameplay in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. As previously announced, you play as young Padawan Cal Kestis, who survives Order 66 and must now complete his training while staying one step ahead of the newly-formed Empire.

Check out the gameplay below:

According to the devs in a brief interview after the gameplay reveal, Cal uses traditional abilities like the Force Push and Force Pull, as well as the Force Flip (ie. double jump), and the new Force Slow, which is “a little bit of the glue in-between Force Push and Pull”.

Regarding lightsaber combat, the devs say that the game is full of thoughtful combat, where you need to size up the enemy you’re up against. Meanwhile, Force combat is freeform, and as such changes based on how the player uses them.

Finally, regarding whether there will be a choice between Light side and Dark side, the developers have confirmed that this will not be an option in Fallen Order, as they have set out to tell a story with Cal as a hero, especially as Cal will be canon to the Disney Star Wars universe and will be seen elsewhere as well.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15, 2019. You can find out more info on the game via our previous post here.
