During the Nintendo Treehouse: Live, the team members played a bit of Hollow Knight: Silksong. Near the end of the presentation, it was confirmed that Team Cherry will be integrating a map system into the game. It was not shown during the gameplay demonstration, but it was confirmed that it will function in a way similar to Hollow Knight, where you have to work to get a map.

In Hollow Knight, people were able to acquire maps from Cornifer the cartographer. You would have to find him to purchase his maps of Hallownest.

A boss battle was also shown. A rival Hornet will repeatedly face is named Lace. She’s an agent of the group trying to prevent Hornet from climbing up through the labyrinths. Her battle was described as “reactive,” where you need to watch what she does in order to determine how to properly counter and strike back at Lace.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming “soon” to the Nintendo Switch and PC.
