Super Neptunia RPG marks the first time a game from the Npetunia series was developed by a Western studio. Here’s a behind-the-scenes video from the Quebec-based Artisan Studios.
The video introduces us to Artisan Studios who are big fans of JRPGs and are focusing on pushing 2D art to create a unique visual experience for the players. The design focuses a lot on bringing the art to life, but the game’s story itself also has a big focus on art style, as it is set in “a world where 2D games reign supreme.”

Super Neptunia RPG releases for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in North America on June 25, 2019 and in Europe on June 28, 2019. The game will be available worldwide for PC via Steam on June 20, 2019. Check here for details on its limited edition versions in the West.
