Monster Hunter World Iceborne PC Version Won’t Thaw Out Until January 2020

Capcom has revealed the PC release date for Monster Hunter World’s Iceborne expansion. Unfortunately, it won’t appear alongside the console version’s. Initially, the company was targeting a winter 2019 release window for it. However, it now has a January 2020 release window.

Capcom did not offer any explanation for the move from Winter 2019 to January 2020. However, this does mean a four month gap between the console versions’ expansion and the PC’s. To compare, there was a seven month gap between the base game’s console and PC debuts. It appeared on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2018, then came to the PC in August 2018.

Monster Hunter World Iceborne will appear on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2019. Most recently, its hot springs and a Glavenus hunt were showcased. It will come to PCs in January 2020.
