Labyrinth of Galleria’s Major Delay Was Due To A Need Of More Game Volume

Nippon Ichi Software’s upcoming dungeon RPG Labyrinth of Galleria: Coven of Dusk was supposed to release in July 25 but has been delayed to Spring 2020 in Japan. Character designer Takehito Harada shared a reason for the delay in his new book. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

Here the snippet from Takehito Harada’s new book that released at Comiket 96:

“While it’s been delayed to next year, it was a strategy to add volume, so  I hope you look forward it.”

The previous game from the Nippon Ichi Software series, Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk, had plenty of game volume, so we’re not too sure whether they’re working on adding more than that or just to have something similar.

He also didn’t go into specifics about what parts needed the increase in volume, be it more stages for the dungeons and enemy variety for the dungeon RPG, more story volume, or perhaps more on the game system parts. In any case we’ll likely find out more as we head into 2020 in the coming months.

Labyrinth of Galleria: Coven of Dusk releases in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Spring 2020. You can check out plenty of more details, screenshots, and art on the game here and here.
