In addition to announcing the Open Beta for Nioh 2 this weekend at TGS 2019, Koei Tecmo shared additional stats on the demo that was available to play at the expo.

According to Koei Tecmo, in the four days total of this year’s Tokyo Game Show, only 5% of about 3,500 people that played the demo were able to clear it. That’s about 175 players out of 3,500 at TGS 2019.

Additionally, Nioh 2 took home a Japan Game Awards 2019 Future Division award that goes to unreleased titles that were announced or exhibited at TGS 2019. Nioh 2 was among the 11 titles that also won in the category, including 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Atelier Ryza, Cyberpunk 2077, Death Stranding, Dragon Quest XI S, Final Fantasy VII Remake, New Sakura Wars, Persona 5 Royal, Project Resistance, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Nioh 2 releases for PlayStation 4 in 2020. Check out the game’s latest trailer here and some gameplay from TGS 2019 here.
