New Wards Being Added In Each Final Fantasy XIV Housing District

One of the things Final Fantasy XIV is known for is its housing crisis. While people might not have trouble finding small cottage plots, finding large spaces can be difficult. Fortunately, Square Enix has announced that patch 5.1 will bring additional Final Fantasy XIV housing to every district by adding three new wards to each one.

Every residential district in Final Fantasy XIV will be getting wards 19, 20, and 21 after patch 5.1, with Free Companies getting temporary first dibs on purchasing plots. The Goblet, Lavender Beds, Mist, and Shirogane districts will each have 180 plots and an additional apartment building, thanks to sub-divisions. Plot sales in wards 1-18 will not be affected by the inclusion of additional plots.

This is the second recent housing increase in Final Fantasy XIV. Patch 4.2, which was released in February 2018, increased the number of wards in each residential district from 12 to 18.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
