Studio Trigger’s first feature-length film is coming back to theaters in the US. On December 8, 2019, Promare will appear again as a Fathom Event. The encore showing will be held at 12:55pm local time, with ticket sales opening at the official site on November 1, 2019.

The Promare encore event will be slightly different than the original showing. It will be in Japanese with English subtitles, rather than dubbed. This showing will also include new “bonus content,” though the new features were not announced.

Promare is set in a world devastated by a spontaneous human combustion event that killed half of its people. Galo is a part of Promepolis’ Burning Rescue firefighters, a group that puts out fires caused pyrokinetic people who developed the ability after that tragedy years ago. After capturing Lio, the leader of the Burnish people who can cause fires, Galo finds out there is more happening regarding the world and the Burnish than he realizes.

Here’s a Promare trailer, featuring the dub.

Studio Trigger has been very involved with video games lately. It worked with Arc System Works on Kill la Kill IF. It made the Shantae and the Seven Sirens opening movie. It also worked with Titmouse on some animated segments for Lab Zero’s Indivisible.

Promare will appear in theaters again on December 8, 2019.
