Today marked the first day of the Nintendo Live event in Kyoto, and while festivities were somewhat marred by the raging typhoon, the latest Splatoon 2 concert still went off without a hitch – this time with a surprise appearance by Animal Crossing’s K.K. Slider.

K.K. Slider performed an acoustic cover of the main theme for the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons (also helmed by Splatoon 2 producer Hisashi Nogami), as well as a short version of ‘Splattack!’. Later during the main concert, both the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook came to perform all of their best hits.

Check out the full concert below (starts at 12:55 mark):

Splatoon 2 is available on Nintendo Switch. Animal Crossing: New Horizons will come to the Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2020.
