Tekken Direct And Producer Katsuhiro Harada Expresses Frustration At Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC ‘Spam’

A fighting game icon took to Twitter to express frustration over the number of requests people have been sending in for potential Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC “spam.” Katsuhiro Harada, who acted as the Tekken 7 director and is often the executive producer, project producer, and voice actor for certain Tekken characters, chastized people’s actions and also called out a number of campaigns he considered the most egregious offenders.

Here is Harada’s tweet about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character request. He noted that such “spamming” is actually “hampering” the work of Masahiro Sakurai, the game’s director and scenario writer, and his team. He also closed it out by saying, “Developers don’t negotiate with Spammer [sic] and terrorists.”

In particular, seven accounts trying to help support the inclusion of six potential Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC characters were mentioned. These supported Crash Bandicoot, DOOM’s Doomguy, Fortnite’s Jonesy, Halo’s Master Chief, Kingdom Hearts’ Sora, and Puyo Puyo’s Arle.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available for the Nintendo Switch. Tekken 7 is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and in arcades.
