Rally-X And Galaga Sound Composer Nobuyuki Ohnogi Has Sadly Passed Away

Earlier this week, it was announced that Nobuyuki Ohnogi, who helped put video game music on the map with contributions to Namco’s classic arcade games, passed away at 63 years old.

Ohnogi’s contributions included games such as Rally-X and Galaga, as well as Mappy and more. He would later quit Namco to form Game Studio alongside Xevious creator Masanobu Endou, where they would release the Family Circuit and Wizardry series on the Famicom.

Ohnogi passed away in mid-August 2019 from an undisclosed reason, and his relatives broke the news this week. Rest in peace.
