Samurai Shodown Wan-Fu DLC Drops in on December 18, 2019

A pillar of the community is about to return to Samurai Shodown. Wan-Fu is returning to the cast. The familiar face will rejoin the game on December 18, 2019. People with the season one character pass will get him automatically, though he will be sold separately for $5.99.

While the Samurai Shodown Wan-Fu appearance here is only as DLC, he has been a staple in the community since the original 1993 release. Even in the installments where he wasn’t playable, he would make cameo appearances.

Another fun Samurai Shodown Wan-Fu fact is that he is known for not having a set weapon. While some people always use certain swords and such, he’s constantly swapping different pieces of equipment. Here, he’s bringing back his stone pillar as his weapon, but in other games he has used a mace or a sword.

Samurai Shodown is available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One worldwide, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC outside Japan, and on the Nintendo Switch in Japan. It will come to the Nintendo Switch outside of Japan in 2020. Wan-Fu follows other DLC characters like Kazuki. A second DLC character pass will bring even more characters, like Mina Majikina.
