Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for Nintendo Switch Shows Its Exercises and Dr. Mario-like Minigame

Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for Nintendo Switch has launched outside of Japan, and there’s a trailer to help people better visualize all of the activities and exercises they’ll be able to perform alone or with friends. It takes time to look at its educational elements and Dr. Mario-inspired minigames.

This Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for Nintendo Switch begins with exercises people might have seen before. They test logic, memory, and mathematical awareness with challenges and games. (Sudoku is among them.) Checking your brain’s age is also an option. Also, it brings back the Dr. Mario-like Virus Buster minigame from Brain Age 2 and gives people a chance to relax and eliminate viruses with medicine capsules. (It is called Germ Buster here.)

The new Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for Nintendo Switch features are highlighted here too. Some tests have people using the right Joy-Con’s IR camera to make hand gestures to answer math questions or play games like Rock, Paper, Scissors. It shows competitive options too, like having two people each hold a Joy-Con and try to complete with one another locally. Though, if you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, you can take part in World Brain Training Championships and place on leaderboards.

Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for Nintendo Switch is, well, available for the Nintendo Switch in Australia, Europe, and Japan. A North American release has not yet been announced.
