The first volume of the Persona 5 manga begins by getting Joker, known here as Akira Kurusu, established in Tokyo. It begins with him remembering the assault that got him expelled from his school and put on probation for a year. When he stepped in to help a woman, he was framed as the one who attacked her in the first place. So, he’s forced to spend a year with a family friend and at a new school. However, he quickly makes friends and finds he has the ability to right wrongs and help people change their hearts by going into the Metaverse and stealing their treasures.

A brief preview of the first Persona 5 manga volume is available on Viz Media’s website. It is only 21 pages long and serves as a means of introducing Akira and Sojiro Sakura, the family friend he is living with while in Tokyo.

The first volume of the Persona 5 manga is now available in North America. Persona 5 is immediately available on the PlayStation 3 worldwide, while Persona 5 Royal is available on the PlayStation 4 in Japan and will show up in Asia on February 20, 2020 and in the west on March 31, 2020. Persona 5 Scramble will launch in Japan on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on February 20, 2020.
