Devil May Cry 3 Weapon Switching Will Appear in the Nintendo Switch Version

The next Nintendo Switch-exclusive Devil May Cry 3 feature has been confirmed. In addition to on-the-fly style switching, there will be weapon switching in this version of the Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition. This will allow people to swap out their weapons more immediately and easily as they play.

So with the Devil May Cry 3 weapon switching on the Nintendo Switch, there will be more options. Originally, as Producer Matt Walker pointed out, someone would have two melee and two ranged weapons they could choose between on-the-fly. Divinity Statues and between mission breaks would let you choose which four weapons you had with you.

Freestyle Mode in Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition on the Nintendo Switch will let you switch between all of your items in your inventory. ZR corresponds to melee weapons and ZL goes through ranged weapons. If you hold those buttons and use the analog stick, you get a radial menu that lets you look at weapons.

Here’s Walker’s announcement.

As a reminder, more Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition announcements are coming. The final one will appear on February 13, 2020.

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition will come to the Nintendo Switch on February 20, 2020. It is also available on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
