If you’re around New York City you might want to swing by Rockefeller Plaza this Sunday (Nov. 11). Nintendo is throwing a party to celebrate the release of Super Mario Galaxy! The game will be sold at midnight and just in case you don’t have a Wii they will have some consoles on hand. But don’t go to get the game a few hours before the rest of North America. Head to the party to hear a DJ, bounce on Nintendo’s Velcro wall and challenge people at the bungee run. The festivities begin at 8PM, but fans will probably begin lining up earlier.

See, North America gets good events too. It’s not like Japan had a launch party or any fanfare when Super Mario Galaxy launched two weeks ago.
