Limited Oninaki Physical Copies Will Appear in Europe on March 27, 2020

Another run of Oninaki physical copies will appear outside of Japan. Square Enix has announced it will offer both Nintendo Switch cartridges and PlayStation 4 discs on March 27, 2020. Preorders are already open through the European Square Enix Store, for people who want to have a physical copy of the daemon-recruiting game where you interact with the worlds of the living and the dead.

Square Enix noted that this will be a limited run of Oninaki physical copies. However, the company did not confirm exactly how many will be produced for each system. As a reminder, the versions that were released in Japan were not limited and can still be rather easily found online.

The copies of the game also seem to be identical to the physical versions that appeared in Japan in 2019. Like the ones already available there, it has Japanese voice acting and optional English, French, German, or Japanese subtitles. They are region-free, so people from any location could import a copy and enjoy them on their Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4. Both versions cost €49.99/£44.99, which is about $56.

However, this does mean the European Oninaki physical copies will likely cost a little more than the ones imported from Japan. Amazon Japan is currently selling the Nintendo Switch version for ¥4,980 (~$46).

Oninaki is immediately available digitally worldwide for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
