Only North American Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure Tour Date Canceled

Since May 2019, a Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure tour has been happening around the world. However, its only North American stop has been canceled due to the coronavirus. A performance was supposed to take place on March 27, 2020 at the Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, Illinois, which is just outside of Chicago. However, on March 11, 2020, AWR Music Productions and Overlook Events announced it had been canceled on Facebook. Refunds will be offered.

Here is the full statement, which explains the reasons for the Chicago-area concert’s cancellation were twofold. One was that people like the members of the 60-piece orchestra and singer Hiroki Takahashi wouldn’t be able to even fly in and perform. The other involved prioritizing the health of everyone who would have been in the enclosed space. (On March 12, 2020, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker asked all large events in the state to be canceled, strongly discouraged gatherings of over 250 people, and urged people to practice social distancing.)

Dear Dragon Ball fans,

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the cancellation of the Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure concert at Rosemont Theatre on March 27th, due to the ongoing coronavirus situation.

This global health concern has made travel for our invited guest performers impossible, and has raised concern for the health and safety of all attendees. While we are disappointed in having to make this decision, we do so for the sake of the well-being of everyone involved: performers, crew, invited guests, and you, our wonderful fans.

If you have already purchased tickets, you will receive a full refund. Please look for an email from the venue within the next couple days. Thank you for your patience!

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Here is a sample of this concert experience from Overlook Events.

The Dragon Ball Symphonic Adventure kicked off with two shows in Paris, France on May 6, 2019. Nine performances were held in places like Belgium, Spain, and Taiwan. Only one planned show is left, a July 18, 2020 performance in Lisbon, Portugal.
