Borderlands 3 Level Cap Increases This Week, Arriving Alongside With Campaign DLC

A new episode of The Borderlands Show just dropped, revealing tons of information for this week’s new happenings. 2K and Gearbox followed it up with the nitty-gritty details, as these things go. So if you missed the show, here are the details on the new Borderlands 3 level cap coming alongside some new story content. Everything goes down this Thursday, March 26, 2020.

The new Borderlands 3 campaign add-on, Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock, is the marquee component for this week’s update. And if you bought the Season Pass already, you’ll be able to dive right in. But just in case that needs to wait, free updates are also coming on the same day. First, the level cap jumps from 53 to 57, which sounds weird on paper. But that bump is enough for four skill points, and players will be able to equip a second capstone ability.

For the Twitch folks, a new event is coming to the official Borderlands 3 ECHOcast extension. With Moxxtail, people in the audience will be able to spend their Twitch Bits on cocktail ingredients. Ingredients from viewers will combine into special buffs, which are delivered to their streamer of choice for a little boost.

If that doesn’t sound like enough, more is coming to Borderlands 3 in April 2020, including a new seasonal event and Mayhem 2.0. For all the details Gearbox has released so far, you can check out The Borderlands Show, as well as the official news blog for Borderlands 3.

Borderlands 3 is currently available for the PC, the PS4, and the Xbox One. You can play it on Stadia too.
