Check out the new launch trailer from the Nintendo Direct Mini this morning:

In Shinsekai: Into the Depths players must survive the treacherous depths of the deep sea as humanity’s lone survivor. It features action-based exploration that requires managing resources and navigating through hostile environments. This means managing oxygen reserves, maintaining your suit’s pressure resistance, and more. While it sounds like plenty of work, the game offers unique visual and audio experiences that make it worth the effort. However, with the setting being deep underwater, you can expect to see all kinds of different lifeforms, including plenty of dangerous creatures.

The game also features a time attack mode called “Another Dive” as a new gameplay option. This involves going through mazes as quickly as possible to take on new monsters. There’s also a hardcore mode that provides an extra challenge. Another new feature is the Jukebox Mode that allows players to customize the audio with filters and various options to give the background music a bit of a remix.

Shinsekai: Into the Depths is now available for the Nintendo Switch via eShop for $19.99.
