Arc System Works has followed up with another pair of Guilty Gear -Strive- starter guide videos, and today we have Chipp and Potemkin.
Chipp Zanuff
Chipp Zanuff has the fastest speed in the entire roster and he has quite the abilities in his repertoire. The first move we get to look at is the Alpha Blade that makes Chipp vanish before lunging forward. You can use Alpha Blade to go behind enemies and giving them a tough time to defend or as an escape maneuver when cornered. Beta Blade is his uppercut move that is not only useful as an anti-air move but it works well during a wake-up after being knocked down or getting out of an opponent’s offense.
Resshou, Rokusai, and Senshuu are a set of flashy moves that can rush down enemies and open up their defense. There’s plenty of different approaches for Chipp using a combination of these flashy moves.
Potemkin
Contrary to Chipp, Potemkin is a large powerhouse character that uses command moves to get by his opponent’s defense. Starting with the Potemkin Buster, a powerful grab move that is also inescapable. It not only has more power than a regular grab move but it has wider range. Heat Knuckle is an anti-air move by Potemkin in which he grabs his mid-air opponent and blows them up.
Slide Head is basically like a projectile move where Potemkin slams the ground and sends a quake across the screen. It’s a good way to deal with pesky long-ranged fighters. Hammer Fall is another one that works well against ranged fighters as a lunge that comes with a one-hit block. The move also works well against opponents using attacks with long recovery.

Guilty Gear -Strive- will release for the PlayStation 4 in late 2020. The closed beta test keys have been going out but the test will take place from April 16 to April 19, 2020.
