Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics Will Have a Free App for Multiplayer

Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics is in an odd sort of situation. It is a game filled with virtual versions of classic board and card games, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that many of them would be best played with other people. Now the UK product listing for the game notes that there will be a free application released for those who want to engage in multiplayer with multiple Switches, but only have one copy of the game. This news comes from an official description detailing how the Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics free application would work. It points out that it would serve as a means for people who were nearby and had a Nintendo Switch or Switch Lite to connect and participate in the various games. Think of it as being similar to the original Clubhouse Games Nintendo DS’ Download Play feature, which would allow people with multiple systems to download a game for single-card multiplayer.

Here’s the exact description:

Local multiplayer*: Free software will be available that allows players to connect in local multiplayer with someone who owns the full version of the game. As long as your friends have a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite and one person owns the game, everyone else can play too!

* Free supplementary software will be available that allows players to connect in local multiplayer with someone who owns the full version of the game. Additional accessories, games and/or systems may be required for multiplayer mode, sold separately.

Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics will appear on the Nintendo Switch worldwide on June 5, 2020. It will also have a Mosaic Mode for multiple Switches and a piano up to four people can play.
