Yet another doctor with no discernable hands is going to be trusted with saving lives in Dr. Mario World. The next two doctors have been announced and, once again, the game is getting goofy. While Dr. Koopa Troopa is a totally normal and understandable choice, the Dr. Mario World Dolphin doctor might raise a few eyebrows. Both will join the game on May 28, 2020.
Dr. Koopa Troopa makes sense, given the number of enemies that have already appeared to suddenly provide medical assistance. After all, Koopa Troopa originally appeared as an assistant-class character in the game. So this could mean the character learned on the job or was maybe working on their residency before becoming a full doctor.

Dr. Mario World’s Dr. Dolphin is more of a stretch. The character previously only appeared in Super Mario World, where Mario could jump on dolphins’ backs, and also showed up as a background character or element in Mario Party games. Even though they don’t have hands, they still have the same first aid kit as other doctors. We’ll see how well they can use it in a few days.

Previous odd additions to Dr. Mario World include Dr. Goomba Tower, which is three Goombas in a lab coat, and fire variants of existing doctors, which probably helped in situations when cauterizing was needed.
