Transformers: Battlegrounds Involves Strategic Battles between Autobots and Decepticons

A tactical Transformers game will be heading to consoles and computers. Transformers: Battlegrounds was announced for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. While no gameplay screenshots or videos have been released yet, it will be a strategy game that chronicles the fight between the Autobots and Decepticons.

While more official details are being held for the moment, one Transformers: Battlegrounds trailer is available. It is an animated segment giving people an idea of the game’s scale and possible procedures. In it, we watch a city from overhead as different Transformers fight. At the end, we get to see Optimus Prime drive up to Megatron and prepare to attack. (Arcee appears nearby, and it seems like there is a Bumblebee blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment before that.)

Here’s the first full trailer.

There haven’t been an overwhelming number of Transformers games as of late. 2017 saw the release of Transformers: Forged to Fight on mobile devices. There was also the multiplatform Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark in 2014.

Transformers: Battlegrounds will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 23, 2020. As a reminder, the new Transformers Netflix show, Transformers: War for Cybertron, will be coming to the streaming service.
