Atlus held a special live stream to commemorate the announcement of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster with a look at new gameplay footage showing a fight against the Matador boss.

During the live stream, Atlus shared a quick look at the history of the Shin Megami Tensei series at the 15:00 mark, starting with the first Shin Megami Tensei that released for Super Famicom in Japan in October 1992.
It goes all the way to the latest entry in Shin Megami Tensei V at 30:14 in the video, followed by a look at the spinoff titles. Atlus also shared another viewing of the extended Japanese trailer for SMT III: Nocturne HD Remaster at the 40:36 mark.
After an introduction to the title, the gameplay footage for SMT III: Nocturne HD Remaster begins at the 1:04:39 mark of the video, and it throws us right into a fight against the Matador boss at 1:11:50. Those of you who’ve faced Matador in the original game might remember how tough the fight was. However, during the gameplay, it appeared noticeably weaker. It could also be the Matador fight in the new Merciful difficulty, a setting that will make it easier for new players to get into the game.
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster will release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on October 29, 2020. The game will release worldwide in Spring 2021.
