Gamers.Vote, a nonpartisan campaign designed to get United States citizens to vote, has begun kicking off its various events to encourage people to register to vote and head to the polls. As its official site notes, “The only purpose of Gamers.Vote is to encourage gamers to register and vote. No issues, no party preferences, no political agendas.” People can head to its official site to register and visit its social media accounts to catch streams.
Throughout July 2020, various influencers and streamers have been playing games to help build Gamers.Vote awareness. For example, on July 26, 2020, 101 WRIF Detroit and Nerd Radio 101 host Chuck Bean were live on Twitch in honor of the endeavor.
The Gamers.Vote website also offers the partner, social, and streaming kits necessary for people who want to help spread the word. As noted online, sharing via means like social media and streams are encouraged and the necessary logos, overlays, buttons, panels, and Instagram story templates. All-inclusive overlays and social movement kit options are available.
World Poker Tour Creator Steve Lipscomb and his son, Henry, are the two who started Gamers.Vote. Some of the endeavor’s partners include Twitch, Rooster Teeth, Take-Two Interactive, Hi-Rez Studios, Kinda Funny, Facebook Gaming, Columbia Records, and World Poker Tour.
